The top of the gold heap is where Crown Gold (formerly Gold Summit) aims to be. The company explores for and develops gold and silver prospect properties in the eastern and western US. Crown Gold focuses on explorations at several properties across Nevada, including Monte Cristo, Gold Basin, and Blue Sphinx. The company, with partner Astral Mining, is also developing properties in North and South Carolina (Saluda and Bear Creek) where miners have not explored underground since the mid-1800s. It also plans to buy Pasofino Gold Corp., which holds assets in Colombia. The former Gold Summit merged with Crown Minerals in 2010 to form Crown Gold.
